Find the visible source if safe
Without opening electrical covers, look for whether water is coming from the cylinder body, a pipe joint, a valve, a tray or a discharge pipe. Photos are useful because some leaks are intermittent.
Note when it happens
Continuous dripping, discharge during heating and sudden heavy leakage suggest different fault paths. Record whether hot water is still available and whether the leak changes when the water supply is isolated.
Avoid premature replacement
A sound diagnosis distinguishes a failed cylinder from a valve, fitting or pipework problem. The quotation should say what has failed and what is proposed for replacement.

Geyser Installations
A geyser replacement should define exactly what is being replaced, what remains existing, how the installation will be tested and what access or making-good work is included.
Geyser Overflow or Discharge Pipe Dripping
Some valve discharge can occur during heating, but continuous or heavy flow can indicate a control, pressure or valve problem.
Geyser Repairs
Geyser faults can involve the cylinder, safety valves, pipework or electrical components. The useful starting point is the symptom, followed by a clear diagnosis before parts are replaced.
Geyser Replacement Quote Checklist
A geyser replacement quote is easier to compare when the surrounding components and access work are stated clearly.
