Identify when the leak occurs
Note whether water appears only while the shower or bath is running, only while draining, or even when the fixture is not in use. That timing helps separate supply-side, waste-side and waterproofing possibilities.
Test one source at a time
Where practical, test taps, mixers, shower outlets, wastes and overflows separately rather than flooding the whole area. Controlled testing produces better evidence and reduces unnecessary opening.
Separate plumbing from finishes
A pipe or waste repair may require access through tiles, ceilings or cupboards. The scope should say who is responsible for waterproofing and reinstatement after the plumbing defect is repaired.

Urgent leaks, burst pipes and uncontrolled water can cause expensive secondary damage. The first priority is to make the situation safe and stop the water where possible.
Kitchen Plumbing
Kitchen plumbing combines supply pipework, wastes, appliances and cabinetry. Small leaks can remain hidden, so access and moisture damage around cupboards and floors should be considered.
