Drains & Blockages FAQs

Common questions about blocked drains, recurring obstructions and drain camera inspections.

Why does the same drain keep blocking?

Repeated blockages can be caused by recurring misuse, roots, poor fall, damaged or displaced pipework, foreign material or a restriction that was never fully removed. Recurrence is a reason to investigate the cause rather than only clear the symptom again.

When is a drain camera inspection worthwhile?

It is particularly useful for recurring blockages, suspected structural defects, roots, uncertain pipe routes or when a permanent repair needs to be planned.

Is high-pressure jetting always the best way to clear a drain?

No. The clearing method should suit the obstruction, access, pipe material and pipe condition. Weak or damaged drainage may require a different approach.
