Constant running water
A cistern that continues filling or sends water into the pan can waste significant water. Typical causes include inlet-valve problems, incorrect water level, failed seals or flush-valve defects. Identify the component before replacing the complete mechanism.
Leaks around the toilet
Water around a pan can come from the supply connection, cistern, pan connector, seals or condensation. Dry the area and observe when the leak appears: during filling, while standing, or only when flushing.
Repeated blockages
If the same toilet blocks repeatedly, consider more than the immediate obstruction. The pan, connector, branch drain, venting and downstream drainage may need investigation.

Basin Drains Slowly
A slow basin may have a local trap or waste restriction, but recurring symptoms can justify checking the branch drainage and how the fixture is used.
Blocked Drains
A blocked drain is a symptom. The useful question is whether the obstruction is local, recurring or caused by a defect in the drainage system.
